Vacancies for SSC Stenographer 2025

As per initial updates, SSC is set to recruit approximately 2006 stenographers under Group C and D. These positions are distributed across various ministries, departments, and government offices.

  • Grade C: Typically involves working in ministries and top-level offices.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board as of the cutoff date mentioned in the notification.

  • Grade C: 18 to 30 years

SSC Stenographer 2025: Selection Process

The recruitment process for SSC Stenographer 2025 consists of two main stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

    • General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 marks

    • General Awareness – 50 marks

    • English Language & Comprehension – 100 marks

2. Skill Test

  • Grade C: Dictation at 100 words per minute (wpm)

  • Grade D: Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
