Indian Air Force AFCAT Eligibility Criteria

Flying Branch (AFCAT Entry):

  • A graduate in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level
    OR

  • A B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks

Ground Duty Technical Branch:

Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics – AE-L):

  • Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level

  • A four-year degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant disciplines

Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical – AE-M):

  • Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level

  • A four-year degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related engineering streams

Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch:

  • Administration & Logistics: Graduate degree in any stream with at least 60% marks

  • Accounts: B.Com with at least 60% marks

  • Education: Refer to official notification for specific academic qualifications

NCC Special Entry:

Candidates with an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate are eligible to apply under the Flying Branch, subject to fulfillment of other conditions.
